Tactical and Strategic Support
Originally appointed to provide high level strategic support to the customer marketing division of Zingo, the role expanded to include driver communications and sales strategy, providing a virtual 'sales and marketing director', scoping and implementing a sales lead management system and developing a programme of events.

Zingo is an innovated taxi hail service which provides passengers with the opportunity to hail a black cab by dialing a single number from their mobile phone. It is one of the most innovative and practical providers of location based services. Meeting the marketing challenge of a new service based on complex and innovative technology required a strategic approach supported by a high level of hands-on implementation

Strategic Planning
Part of the role of VMC was to develop a comprehensive launch marketing plan. This involved taking existing plans and reassesing them against the business targets. Considerable effort was diverted from Customer Marketing to establishing a Driver Recruitment Programme and this led to a number of tactical initiatives that required fast and effective implementation

Integration of specialist skills with classical market planning
The Virtual Marketing Company developed a programme of direct marketing recruitment activities for Drivers, including direct mail, responsive trade press advertising, events and telesales. Working with the small in-house marketing team, VMC was able to ensure that a comprehensive mixed media campaign for driver and passenger recruitment was implemented within very short times scales.
